A Tri-Lingual: French, Indigenous, and English Linguistic Program

Kidz Club is most fortunate in presenting a French, Indigenous (Barngarla), & English Linguistic Program that is coordinated and conducted by Degree qualified language / linguistic specific, professionals.

The transferring of authentic information during the early learning years has great pedagogical advantages especially in learning a second language, and inside this centre, the children follow a curriculum that offers a steady flow of diverse subjects and activities with an emphasis on having fun with their second and third language development, during the two-hour lessons of language and culture each day.

Field trip excursions are included in the program to enhance the language learning experience and provide the children with much fun and enjoyment.

The Tri-lingual Linguistic Program Coordinator Stuart Blair has created an E-Learning program each child receives, to practice their languages at home with their parents, for consolidation of what is being taught during the day at the centre. Stuart has created an audio series for the children to use during times of relaxation as another method of revision.

The Early Learning Languages Australia series of French-language Apps are incorporated into the daily French program.

Indigenous Linguistic Program

The children in the Kindy Room are learning about the Barngarla People on the Eyre Peninsula in South Australia. The Barngarla language, a revived language, offers the children each day, the words and sounds of the language, unique characteristics, and the culture of the Barngarla People.

Kidz Club provides enthusiastic staff that structure an environment that aims to promote play and learning activities, enriched by a variety of resources, settings and interesting experiences.

We believe that learning is a two-way process, in valuing and respecting a child’s needs. Ongoing records are maintained through observations using our focus child format, planning for each child on a regular basis. Our programmes incorporate developmental learning opportunities through play, such as dramatic, cooperative, constructive and social.

This learning environment will be based on structured and flexible activities allowing children to play while exploring their indoor and outdoor areas. This enables children to experience and enhance all areas of development by having fun, forming trusting and secure relationships and promoting positive encouragement for their work. We strongly support the development of language through shared literature experiences.

Early Years Learning Framework

The programs developed at Kidz Club Child Care & Educational Centre follow the “Early Years Learning Framework”, incorporating a thematic approach.

We also provide opportunities to develop self-esteem and expression of feelings, gained through personal development and group interaction.

Children are encouraged to be active learners in the education process, thus achieving goals of learning and discovery. They are also encouraged to participate in role-playing, problem-solving, taking initiative and interacting with their peers, staff and their environment.

Parents are an integral part of a child’s life and are encouraged to play an active role in the planning process of their child’s education. We are of the strong belief that open communication between a child’s home and the Centre is of paramount importance for their ongoing development.

The staff will provide you with information about their development, individual needs, and progress upon request.
